Our story

Built by people who survived GDPR the hard way.

We were compliance managers, engineers, and founders who spent years juggling spreadsheets, consultants, and missed deadlines. Audulate is the tool we wish we'd had.

Our mission

“Make continuous compliance accessible to every team, not just the ones that can afford a full-time DPO.

How we got here

The problem we couldn't stop thinking about.

GDPR has been in force since 2018, but most teams we talked to were still tracking obligations in shared spreadsheets, chasing engineers about consent banners, and filing DSRs by hand against a 30-day clock. The tooling never caught up with how product teams actually work.

The tools that existed were either built for enterprise legal departments — six-figure contracts, year-long rollouts — or so generic they couldn't tell you whether your cookie banner was actually compliant. Nothing was made for developers and founders who need answers in minutes, not months.

We built Audulate with a simple premise: treat compliance like an engineering problem. Continuous monitoring. Automated detection. Actionable findings. Evidence generated, not manually gathered.

Before

Tracking in spreadsheets
DSR deadlines missed
Manual evidence gathering
No visibility into posture

After

Continuous automated monitoring
SLA alerts & audit trail
Evidence auto-generated
Live compliance score
  1. 2025

Built from scratch: multi-tenant core, GDPR rules engine, website scanner, and the GDPR modules — DSR, RoPA, DPIA, vendor register, breach. GitHub PR scanning and the AI risk layer followed.

  2. Early 2026

Infrastructure scanning across 12 cloud, database, PaaS and edge providers. Regulation watcher live on ICO, CNIL, EDPB and DPC.

  3. May 2026

Public launch — billing, admin and plan enforcement production-ready.

  4. June 2026

SOC 2 shipped as the fifth framework, and the integration hub became a real evidence layer: identity, HR, device, code hosts, security telemetry and ticketing.

  5. Mid 2026

India's DPDP went live as the sixth framework, on the same GDPR-family engine. Free, like GDPR.

  6. July 2026

Evidence reached where personal data actually lives — data warehouses, analytics, CRM and support desk. 46 connectors across 12 categories, reading counts and configuration only, never personal records.

What we stand for

Our values

Six principles that shape every decision we make — from engineering to support.

Core principle

Compliance first

We build every feature with regulatory accuracy as the non-negotiable starting point.

Philosophy

Radical transparency

No black-box scores. Every finding links to the exact rule and article that triggered it.

Engineering

Speed over perfection

Compliance posture that updates in minutes, not the quarterly audit cycle.

Design

Empathy for teams

Most teams have no dedicated DPO. We write for engineers and founders, not lawyers.

Security

Security by default

We process your data in EU infrastructure and never sell it. Full stop.

Scalability

Built for scale

From seed-stage startups to public companies — the platform grows with your obligations.

The team

Small team, big scope.

Audulate is built by a lean founding team who got tired of watching good engineering teams struggle with compliance tooling that was either built for enterprise legal departments or too generic to be useful. We're engineers and compliance practitioners building the platform we wish had existed.

We're early-stage and growing. Every feature in the platform has been shaped by real conversations with teams who need it — not a product roadmap built in a vacuum.
